Downtown Brooklyn
While taking these pictures, about a month ago, I thought of them as the first installment in a new project: walking every block in Brooklyn. Then I came to my senses and realized that large parts of Brooklyn are unimaginably boring. Perhaps I will succeed in walking every block in Brooklyn before I die, but I won't feel bad if I don't.
The web claims that there are 1742.36 miles of street in Brooklyn, and, in case you were curious, 771.34 in the Bronx, 508.38 in Manhattan, 2135.9 in Queens, and 788.2 on Staten Island. MetaGrrrl wants to walk all of San Francisco, about 1500 miles; San Francisco's interesting-to-boring ratio is probably similar to Brooklyn's.
I've already finished the subway system.

Downtown Brooklyn. I used to eat at the hero shop in the early '90s. It wasn't very good.

Returning to normal

New York slowly returns to normal after the convention. More subway pictures than usual; my bike is still in jail. Does anyone have a plausible explanation for the "Found/Lost/Blue bag/or stolen?" one?
