Hey... just found your website... just saying Hi... NY's a hell of a city... :)
C ya!
Good documentation of the place that could be gone in some years. The pictures are very represantative as I think.
Good work !
The playground is actually named for the two streets around it, Bush and Clinton Streets. Nice coincidence, though.
Cool shots. Love the red building against the blue sky, and the "Bill Clinton Playground"
man !
so nice !
I love it!
Welcome back! Just checked back after MONTHS of desperation w/o satan's laundromat updates, only to find you post again at long last. I'm thrilled. Hope you'll be around for good from now on.

Dam where did you do?
I love pix of RedHook. really any pix of Brooklyn I love and you seem to always get the best of them!!!
I wish you would come on back!!!
Hmmm..... it seems Mike has disappeared again.
Let's hope he comes back soon with more great pics!
I used to live in Brooklyn (Flatbush) and I love these! They perfectly capture the mood of the city.
ECHOOOOooo, ECho. echo?
went to red hook last weekend. born and raised there .left in 1960. it was a war zone then. starting to look better.always took grandchicken from westchter to see where i grow up. they liked the view and thought the place " cool"
ARE THERE ANY OLD- TIMERS LEFT IN RED HOOK? I WENT TO VISITATION SCHOOL IN THE 1950'S. SPENT ALL SUMMER AT THE RED HOOK POOL.LIVED ON WOLCOTT ST AND THEN DIKEMAN ST.
love the pictures on that page!! i love new york, have been there twice, but that is five years ago. but i am going back there in september!! hope to take some good pictures there as well.
where have you gone to again??
you dissapeared again!
I used to live at 105 luquer street and HAD to spell the name everytime! Between Hicks & Henry street. The BQE was my alarm clock.
It was named for a revolutionary war hero peter luquer and I met a lot of people who they have made movies about, lol!
I SO miss NYC. CA is like jello. gurgle, gurgle.
I lived in Redhook for about 20 years and my Mom just recently passed away and lived in Redhook. I love the pics posted. There used to be a bar/social club on Columbia and Lorraine owned at one time by a man named Nick - who was my Mothers' employer.
And who amongst us will ever forget the time a transvestite was caught using the facilities at red hook pool in 1968.5000 puerto rican voices yelling-"FAGGOT!!!FAGGOT!!!"5000 puerto rican voices yelling as one!!!A masterpiece
I've never been there (brooklyn), but it seems very horrible!
hmmmmm... not as horrible as we'd like, at least not in ways that are INTERESTING. ("luxury condos coming soon" will kill us all.)
you feed my hunger of brooklyn pictures.
Ikea sucks.
If I made a pros/cons list of life, your photos are on pros.
Just moved to Red Hook and it has rented room in my heart. I don't really know anyone but would like to come out and play... is anyone still lingering here?
