You could've gone to sunnyvale if you wanted to see bubble tea paper :)

I think the Shimo-Kitazawa Kat hates wearing the t-shirt. It makes his legs/paws stick out at unnatural angles.

Great stuff, thanks for posting these pics.

Motivates me to go look for odd signage.

Ive seen a bizzare sign in tokyo that my japanese friend explained to me it showed:"you cannot smoke while walking"...I don';t know if it's bizzare enough but to me yes.

Can someone please tell me what is bubble tea or pearl tea? Is it tea with globules in it? I noticed this in another one of Mike's photos.

Where can the bubble tea be found?

Posted by: bignickel at June 20, 2006 03:39 AM

Bubble tea is a dessert drink which may have originated in Taiwan or Japan. It's just a flavoured-syrupy drink with some tea essence and some chewy flour based "pearls" inside. The pearls are generally tasteless and is semi-transparent giving the drink an interesting appearance as well as something to chew on.
