There's some funky lighting going on in the second photo down. Is that natural light (not the beer) being reflected upwards, or is it lit from underneath on purpose? Just curious...I didn't know you had oil derricks on top of buildings in NYC! ;)

Probably reflected. There's a lot of glass underneath, and the sun was nearly horizontal.

i actually went to craigslist, found his post and emailed him a link to this site. he seemed pretty stoked to see it. but, alas, is still waiting to hear from his missed connection :(
