anti-climb paint. haha. was that sign put up to discourage that Bourne Identity guy from scaling their wall?

Nice photos, I can't believe anti-climb paint is real...

Anti-climb paint is actually all over London -- some sticker artists I spoke to said the council (=city) just installed it on all the lampposts to prevent people from climbing up and sticking their stickers. Apparently it's paint that takes several years to dry, has a gloppy texture that hurts your hands, and leaves marks if you touch it.

I love the anti-climb paint and Goodenough College, but I wonder if people can be fined for being dirty, bad-mannered and unhygienic, or if it's just an insult to compound that 20-pound fine.

these are great. i noticed that a lot of the signs in london tend to be more verbose than in new york... instead of "no parking," they'll say something like "please refrain from parking here at any time."

i also found this one near the tate modern earlier this year, which is a favorite.

Mike, glad you found Goodenough College ... the picture I took last year was of the gates at the side nearest to the Dickens museum.

This is my favorite set of pictures. I love them and they all made me smile. I love the way they phrase things in London... lol.

Goodenough College is named after Frederick Goodenough who, in the 1930s, built this Oxbridge style residential college for international postgraduate students, who are studying at any of the universities in London. We have 650 members from 92 nations. Have a look at the website at www.goodenough.ac.uk: it's a pretty special place!
