That's perfect movement outside of Sing Sing SS.
Awwwwwwwww-some!

I love the unexpectedness of the bike hanging out of the apartment window. Sure, others are more colorful and such, but the sheer surprise of that shot is appealing.

Cool reflection (of you?) in Sing Sing.

I love the yellow chain. It reminds of Pee-Wee Herman trying to lock up his bike in Pee-Wee's Big Adventure.

in the dot-com days, i worked for a startup in the tenderloin (mcallister and market). brings back memories; nice set. somehow, it doesn't entirely capture the seediness of the area (the strip clubs, the 'smoke shops'), but maybe it's changed since i was there...

You missed the Loin's #1 law school! And understandably so -- who'd notice the shoe box when there's so much actual color surrounding it?

The Scientologists are fun though. And on Wednesdays there's a farmer's market in UN Plaza.

what's that black and white face in the box in the middle of the billboard in the last photo? i've seen it here in atlanta, in new york, and driving thru cincinnati there was a huge one off of interstate 75 near downtown. any info about this?

Another good bit of graffiti was on the Beauty Bar on Mission. It said "This is what your face!" So succinct yet nonsensical.

i like the "sorry, we're open" and "neck face is ugly". so funny!

The face is Obey Giant.

The tenderloin. I had the "pleasure" of going through its entire length twice a day on the 38Geary going back and forth to work. I wouldn't say the pictures bring back good memories, but it does capture how pretty some of the buildings are when you only look at them above street level.

Neck Face?! Oy.

When I was 17 I lived a block from Go Go Corner, just down from the Sub Club. Go Go was the best thing about that stretch of 9th St. (that and the Kryolon store); their homemade soup made up for the too frequent is-he-dead?-guys in the building's doorway. Ah, the 80's.
Did you make it to Folsom?

There's another 'neckface' tag on a derelict building on the corner of Post and Hyde.
