If I've told you once, I must've told you a million times. Do NOT leave ladders in bed.

The diner shots are really interesting! What are those containers above the cash register anyway? Plan on posting any more?

Have you read the SF Weekly stories about how Hunter's Point was the site of cavalier nuclear experiments and is likely contaminated to the hilt?

I'm not sure I'd eat something that was ho-made.

I like the shot of the cash register and the picture below it. Very retro looking. I assume that was an old diner?

ho-made stuff is usually very attractive.

Well, initially started as a forum thread: "Google your name". Ended up here. Glad I have broadband, because these are quality photos. Hell, I already blew 4 hours on this site... anyhow, I'm sure you're very interested blah blah blah. Not to be *too* rude, I'm hot-linking some of your pictures to the forums... if there's anything that'd cause you to not want me to, my email is above (after a little decryption). Enjoyable site, I'm actually losing sleep browsing though. =D

The diner shots rock! Especially the padded bar thingy...

Cafe Lola? Is it abandoned?

Posted by: john at September 30, 2004 11:38 AM

I was in the area on the weekend; I believe Cafe Lola is only open on weekdays.

I was stationed, lived and my daughter was born there between '68 & '71 and would LOVE any and MORE photos if available of the "yard" and its buildings between that time & now
