Downtown Brooklyn 2

Downtown Brooklyn. I used to eat at the hero shop in the early '90s. It wasn't very good.

100. 200. 300. 400!

Ah yes. I guess you can only remove an item from display if you have no reason.

The bathroom in the Dunkin Donuts on Jay Street has to be one of the most miserable potty experiences on earth. Last I was there, I meant to photograph it for posterity, but was too dark and smelled so bad that I did my business and ran for the hills.

Is it still hanging out if it's 'authorised' ?

I ate in this hero shop on Livingston street while a
student at Brooklyn Poly.

THe sandwiches were great! Time wounds all heels, I guess.

Burp. Belch. Great pastrami heros!

Who is the artist that does the money bag head sculptors I see all over the city and in the subway? I find those things very interesting. I am especially enamored of the grafitti face in the second to the last photo. NYC always had the most engaging grafitti.

The sculptor is Tom Otterness. He appears to have an exhibition on Broadway for the next couple months.

This Otterness is in Metrotech, on what used to be Myrtle Avenue and is now a promenade without any promenaders (apologies to Jane Jacobs).
