I had a couple slices of pizza from Giuliano's when I was there! Good stuff! Nice shots, I especially like the pigeons!

You take great photos! (Funny, too.) It was nice to meet you & Dave on the tour, even though you both attended inferior Ivies. I just linked to your site from my blog.

Damn, you beat me. I was just about to post my own photo of the Excelsior bldg. Did you note the cheesy door on that otherwise fabulous structure?

Posted by: joey harrison at July 21, 2004 01:10 AM

Oh ... how the hell did you get high enough for a level shot at that sign (Excelsior)?

Posted by: joey harrison at July 21, 2004 01:11 AM

Too Good!!!

Excelsior is from across the street. I'll have to go back to check out the door.

once again awesome work mate

The alley across the street from Excelsior is Edens Alley. That's the alley in which Robert Sullivan did his rat observations and ruminations for his book "Rats". Edens Alley leads up Gold's (or is it Golden?) Hill, so named because it was a golden field of wheat back in New Amsterdam days.

have you been out to Gov's Island yet? If not, let me know if a posse should be assembled. I am down for it.

That shot w/ the bird, awersome. Keep up the good work.
