"Open 2 weeks later" absolutely rules and the first image is fantastic.

I lived near Journal Square 20 years ago, and understandably don't recognize much of this. "Open 2 Weeks Later" is a phenomenal statement: you =presume= they've garbled the language, but it could also be used as puffery for late night hours.

Did you run across the Tube Bar? Is it still there?

Something about "Sensational Frankie." I dunno...

I've heard that Jack Pot Formula X is coming out next Spring sometime, I really can't wait cause I'm sick of using Formula IX! Yeah, I was just wondering what became of Frankie from Frankie Goes to Hollywood...Nice Photos as always!

Hi I live in a small town on the coast of Queensland, Australia. New York has always facinated me, it is a world away, and i love the insight your photos give. Very personal. I love seeing the new stuff on this site!

Nice images.... I am a serious amature photographer and also live in Jersey City.. There are lots of great things to shoot... Maybe I am a bit slow today, but I dont get the hype on the open 2 weeks later sign.... just seems like someones slur. Regards

The "Suez Canal Fish" sign used to read "Suez Canal Fish and Things" before the right side fell off. I never had the nerve to ask what the "Things" were...
