The lights on the Empire State Building are off to commemorate Ronald Reagan, about whom I am sorely tempted to say something nasty.

God, I love that backside Pepsi sign shot. Did that require some daredevil clamboring? This buckeye has never heard of Boardman, Ohio (red T-shirt photo), so I looked it up. Suburb of Youngstown.

with joey on the pepsi photo - the wierdness of the green light in the sky makes it very startling.

re Reagan - at least switching the lights off on the ESB gives you some interesting photos.

Great angle of the Pepsi sign. Well done! How do you get access to those sort of locations anwyay??

The Pepsi sign shot is from the public park at Queens West.

Like the pixs....looks like what I shoot that my wife does not like (but I never let that stop me)...Just do not agree with bad mouthing Ronnie...any factual reason that you don't like the man or just the standard "Air America" hate speech.....sorry, I forgot only consuritive do hate speech.....

Posted by: AFed at June 11, 2004 11:51 AM

Now it's hate speech to dislike an administration run by a senile old man's wife's astrologer, in which far more officials were convicted of serious crimes than in any other, that had as its chief objective stealing from the poor and giving to the rich? Clearly the thought police have taken over.

I was just asking a question...which was not answered...I did not dispute anyones right to say any thing (not going to come to your house and make you stop like the PC thought police on the liberal side do) by the by...check you facts...Bill Clinton had the honor of having the most 'serious' convictied crimes by officials in his adminsitration since U.S. Grant. This includes the loss of his law license for lying in court....oh yea, that was just a conservative plot to bring down a great man....

Posted by: AFed at June 11, 2004 12:18 PM

AFed, now you've gone off the deep end. PC thought police who come to people's houses and make them stop talking? That's the funniest thing all week.

I'll take a philanderer who governs well over a monogamist who doesn't. Any day.

Oh, and check your own facts: 32 Reagan officials were convicted of crimes for acts committed while in office (14 for Iran-Contra, 2 for illegal lobbying, 16 in the HUD scandal). Other sources say 30 or 31, but let's not quibble. Exactly one Clinton official was so convicted: Ronald Blackley, the Chief of Staff of the Secretary of Agriculture. I don't know how you define "serious", but getting football tickets improperly pales in comparison to illegally selling arms to one country and illegally sending the money elsewhere, and to massive graft in public housing.

Hey keep Clinton out of it....he's the blackest President I ever had. Hey Mike...love the shots you never disappoint me.

Posted by: Robin at June 11, 2004 03:49 PM

Reagan tripled the national debt to 3 billion.

There's a president worth celebrating.

I love these photos. Especially the Pepsi sign shot with that almost eerie light. Keep up the great work.

goddamn you have 2 gorgeous shots -- one of the skyline and one with the pepsi sign. It's a SIN to include such filth within your overall homage to TV Nation.
