Fort Greene/Navy Yard, Brooklyn
While taking the last photo, I apparently annoyed a watchdog in a vacant lot. After a few minutes of loud barking, a modern-day snake charmer, complete with a scraggly beard and a hat that's about as close to a turban as you can find on Canal Street, emerged from a nearby building with a flute and gently quieted the dog by playing a tune that wafted down the empty street. This is why I love New York.
I'm not the first or last to say it, but New York City is the people. Little experiences like this make it worth everything.
That face sign is creepy. I love it!
The abandoned prison gave me the chills.
Something about old hospitals and prisons (pain and suffering) that seems to linger long after the victims have moved on.
Great shots!
Every declining semi-industrial neighborhood should have an abandoned prison.
I would also wholeheartedly support a law requiring owners of outdoor billboards to devote 10% of their ad space to street art.
I'd agree with you but it would just get spammed.
I love your night shots. The lighting in the first one is very erie, and the one of the grey wall and fire hydrants is very cool.
Excellent shots. Every shot hits your face with reality.
you should check out the abandoned mental hospital in Kings Park long island. its a TRIP
