High Line photos, January 31, 2004:
I love the eight-armed person-shadow. I'd like to be such a person, or part of one.
I clicked over here from Danny Gregory's. The first thing I thought when I saw the eight-armed shadow was 'SPIDERMAN!' This kept me and the girls I am babysitting laughing for a while.
the 8 armed shadow turned out awesome. i dont know how i got put in the back of that, in back of 3 guys that were taller than me.. i just stuck my arms up and tried to follow direction as to which way to move them. excellent!
Ummmm....cherries!
I'd just seen a simpsons episode where a little indian girl runs into the kwik-e-mart and starts talking about vishnu. I don't know if he has eight arms or not, but the picture really does look cool. Kudos to Mike for capturing it so well.
It was funny trying to get everyone all lined up, but remarkably easy ... it took such little tweaking.
The shadows up on the high line were awesome. It's a good thing there were three extremely adept photographers up there (I wasn't one of them) ... they all came up with fantastic shots.
Sometimes I feel like the picture before the cherries... I am just tired of trying to bloom, ya know? Lovely pictures and very expressive. I love coming here.
ooh, the shadow picture with all of us turned out really well.
where did you take that 4th picture? was that in one of the smelly corners?
Yeah, it was one of the smelly platforms near the south end.
heh heh... the famed high line octopus monster!. nice catch. ;)
This website is great! Will be checking back regularly.
I love your photo's. I live on the other side of the world and am writing a piece that has a scene or two in NY in the snow, thankyou for your images. I feel like I've had a glimpse of another reality than the glossy shined up one.
Oh, and your shots of the train stations are amazing, I just wrote a scnee in a NY station tunnel, and your pictures will help me make them even more authentic. Thanks.
