I think Chicago is a wonderful city -- not sure I would have taken these shots, though. I think Chicago beats NYC for its architecture and public art installations. That Miro sculpture would last about 2 minutes here.

I really like Chicago. I feel a special connection to Des Plaines, though, as it's where my mom grew up. If it weren't for that, I might not have done a Des Plaines entry at all.
Anyway, I've got one more Chicago up my sleeve, then it's back to Brooklyn.

You were in Des Plaines and you didn't take a picture of the Choo Choo restaurant? Your food comes out to you on a toy train with tracks that wind around the counter.

I love the Choo Choo! I ate there several times as a child, and I took some pictures, but none of them really came out that wonderfully.

Chicago may have high taxes and a dictatoial mayor, but anyone who's sick of Chicago has most likely never really explored the city. Having been to New York, I'd say chicago is a much more beautiful city. New York is exciting, but it's dirty and crowded.

I live in Des Plaines, and YES CHicago/Des Plaines SUCKS! Lived in the NW Burbs my entire life and am so sick of the BS politics, the BS people, and the BS period. Get me outta here!!!!
