Happy New Year

Do you think they have to change the awning every year?

Santa (in the form of my credit card) brought me a new camera, a Canon PowerShot S400, with which I took the above. As I work through the backlog, more and more of the photos will suck a little less than usual.

My Dad got a new camera, too. Says it has a shutter speed of 1/38,000 seconds. He hopes to get a shot of Mom with her mouth shut. Nyuk nyuk.

Happy New Year to ya! Love your stuff!

Seriously, how will your new camera improve your old shots?

I don't always go in chronological order. I might put up some new stuff, then some backlog, then some more new stuff.

What do you think of the S400? I was thinking of updating my old S330.

So far I love it -- the low-light performance, especially, is like night and day (literally) compared to the S110. And they've fixed all the old interface quirks that annoyed me. But I can't compare it to the S330.

I really like my S400. It is a great camera to have when you want to be a little under the radar, unlike my E20.

Happy new year!
