The Crown Heights Lubavitcher Hasidic community has split, since the death of Rebbe Menachem Schneerson, over whether he was the messiah (Moshiach).

His picture is everywhere, even on fake mini police vehicles. (NYPD uses these too; I wonder if they realize how silly they look.)

sherrson is not the messiah jesus is the one and only messiah and only by him can there be remission of sin
Toni, you are right, Jesus is the Christian messiah but not the Jewish one, so you go and worship him while leaving the Jews alone to wait for theirs. Deal?
The Lubavitcher Rebbe was one the most special people i have ever read and done research on he was actually given a key to AMERICA (it is a key that represents america and is given to very special and internationally respected people)
All respects given to a person that brought only good and peace to this world.
WHy are you arguing? Christians, don't you see how callous you sound? Be more like Christ and set an example instead of being rude!
While not the messiah, a good rueben sandwich can be a religious experience.
hey, has this site been abandoned? how about some new photos and comments? love this site. ruth
o.k., so there's a lot of crudeness on the main site that i hadn't seen yet. like the bizarre stuff, though, and the "muni" logo. ruth
What bothers me about Schneerson is his teachings about the Gentiles - that we are a different "kind" than the Jewish people, and that our spirits come from a lower sphere (satanic, in fact). What kind of guy claims to be the Messiah and then goes around preaching ethnic superiority? Reminds me of somebody in the 40's.
jesus is the jewish mesiah... he was jewish himself.. remember????
the christian religion is one big lie!!!
Christians believe that this Jesus is equal to Hashem, but does your book tell you to worship him ?? We dont worship schneerson !! but feel he was "like G-D" like moses.
Doesn't worshipping someone except Hashem make you an idolatrer (sp).
The problem is that Schneerson believed the occult book of the Kabalah, which teaches that gentile souls are from an inferior place to Jewish souls. That's really racist in my book, and if a Christian minister was teaching such bunk, you'd be all over him.
