As everyone knows by now, Councilman James Davis was killed today in City Hall by former political rival Othniel Askew.

Not only was Davis my councilman -- I knew this because of the innumerable bus-shelter ads featuring his enormous face -- but Askew lived on my street, one block away. (I'd noticed his house several times because it utterly failed to fit in with the other buildings on the block.)

this is my old stomping grounds and the cambodian restaurant is my favorite in NY (and the only Cambodian restaurant I've been able to find in the Eastern US). Now I live in Florida and look at all of these photos with all of their sincere messages filled with grammatical errors and just love the absurdity of New York. sigh. Thanks for putting up this site, it is so entertaining. I can't wait to see next months! BTW, please let me know if you would like any Miami/SoFla pics, because they could really contend with some of these. An inexplicable mob for South Beach anyone?
